— how the shop got its name
There's no clever origin story here, and we're not going to pretend otherwise. The shop sits on Central Avenue, so it became Central Remedies. Straight down the middle — which is more or less how we run the place.
Fourteen years later, the name still does the whole job: tells you where we are, and what you came for.

Fourteen hours a day. Seven days a week. Ninety-eight hours the door is unlocked — including Sunday, including the holidays most shops close for.
Early enough to catch you before work. Late enough to catch you after. No “closed Mondays”, no shortened weekend, no guessing.

No appointment, no membership, no card. Walk in any day between 8am and 10pm. If you'd rather not come inside at all, call from the curb and we'll bring the order out.

We serve medical customers as well as adult-use customers. Bring your state medical marijuana identification card along with your photo ID.
We're a retailer, not a clinic. Our staff can tell you what a product is, how it's packaged and what it costs — we can't give medical advice, and nothing we sell is offered as treatment for any condition. Talk to your doctor about anything health-related.

Central Avenue runs the length of South Los Angeles, and the 5700 block is ours — 90011, between the shops and the houses.
The customer we're built for is, in our own words, “wide variety — anybody and everybody.” The nurse coming off a shift at eight in the morning and the guy who walks over at nine-thirty at night get the same counter and the same prices.
Most of our people find us the same two ways they always have: they walked past, or they searched. Either way the door's open fourteen hours a day and somebody in here knows your order.
